Autumn in January

I’m trying to take advantage of the few days I have left before the semester begins. As of Monday, I’ll be starting a new internship, a new part-time job and a host of new classes. So this weekend is about taking time to enjoy the things that might feel like burdens in a few weeks, such as: raking leaves.

IMG_2903The colors of autumn come to Arizona fairly late (or early, I suppose) in the year. Emily and I spent the morning collecting the leaves that had fallen in our yard.

Rae wore her shark sweater for the occasion and decided to roll in the pile.

I love taking the time to enjoy the things we do for our little house. Being outside with a dog masquerading as a shark is a lovely way to spend the morning. Happy weekend!
